Asia Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation

The Asia-Pacific Network for Sustainable Forest Management and Rehabilitation (APFNet) is a non-profit international organization dedicated to advancing sustainable forest management and rehabilitation in the Asia-Pacific region. With our values of respecting differences and action-oriented in mind, we aim to promote sustainable forest management and rehabilitation, and in the process bring socio-economic benefits of forests for communities. To achieve this goal, we leverage four pillars, i.e. policy dialogues, capacity building, demonstration projects and information sharing, to make a difference by carrying out activities on the ground. We also strive to forge collaborations and partnerships to achieve our common goal. APFNet has 31 members, including 26 member economies and 5 international organizations in the Asia-Pacific region.


China Green Carbon Foundation

Founded in 2010, the China Green Carbon Foundation (CGCF) is the first nation-wide non-profit public funding foundation dedicated to combating climate change by increasing carbon sink in China. The precursor of the Foundation is China Green Carbon Fund founded in 2007. CGCF, approved by the State Council, was registered at the Ministry of Civil Affairs and operated under the governance of the State Forestry Administration of the PRC. CGCF provides a platform for enterprises and citizens to fulfill their social responsibility by storing carbon credit mainly through forestry measures.


INBAR

INBAR is the only intergovernmental organization headquartered in China. It currently has 42 Member States, comprising most of the bamboo and rattan resource countries from the Global South. Since its creation two decades ago, INBAR has run projects and programmes in over 20 countries, and provided capacity building and awareness raising on the productive use of bamboo and rattan in over 80 countries.


ICBR

ICBAR is the Ministry of Science and Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Central Committee approved establishment of the national non-profit scientific research institutions. It was formally established in July 2000, under the State Forestry Administration. Its purpose is to establish an international platform for scientific research on bamboo and rattan, directly to the first headquarters in China’s intergovernmental organization – the International Bamboo and Rattan Organization (INBAR), to support and cooperate with the International Bamboo and Rattan organization to fulfill its mission and purpose.
