Co-op & Intern
The UBC Faculty of Forestry offers co-op placements as a means of promoting work-based learning. Co-op placements enrich educational experiences by improving curricula, enrolment, and professional experience and reputation, while successfully producing well-rounded and qualified graduates.
Undergraduate-level cooperation helps the faculty build and maintain strong connections with top forestry universities in Asia. It has also created new opportunities and potential cooperation platforms for joint master’s-level programs. In recent years, the faculty has developed several professional master’s programs –Master of International Forestry (MIF), Master of Geomatics for Environmental Management (MGEM) and Master of Engineering Leadership for Green Bio-products (MEL) – which attract students from around the world to pursue higher education while gaining professional skills in forestry industries and organizations.
